Flexible Erfassung von Belastungs- und Beanspruchungsparametern bei arbeitsmedizinischen Felduntersuchungen

Aim: In field inquiries in occupational medicine usually different physiological parameters have to be measured and presented in relation to the existent workload conditions. The strain parameters are e.g. blood pressure, heart rate and breathing parameters. The measurement can be performed by specialized mobile devices and sensor systems. For analysing the experiment data it is necessary to know about the activity pattern and quality of workload of test persons. Method: The activity status is gathered by the test persons themselves semi-automatic with the help of a Nokia 3660 cell phone. Therefore a dedicated software module developed for this reason runs on the mobile phone and allows the users to input the activity status and the actual condition using a short questionnaire. All data, also the separate acquired strain parameters is stored in combination with time stamps. When the experiment ends the data will be transmitted to a central server module. Results: Activity data and physiological data of more than 200 investigations have been acquired and stored in a central database. Database access is provided through an intranet or internet connection. A graphical visualisation tool enables the analysis of experimental data, the visualisation can although be shared from any location via webbrowser over the internet. Conclusions: Occupational medicine field studies benefit from the system and especially from the semi-automated self monitoring.
